Customer Operations Associate – Job Overview

Affirm is hiring a Customer Operations Associate to join our high-performing support team. In this fully remote role, you'll resolve customer inquiries across multiple communication channels (primarily email) and collaborate with internal teams to improve product experiences. Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to escalated customer inquiries via email and occasionally phone.

  • Maintain high Quality Assurance (QA) scores and ensure excellent customer experiences.

  • Use deep product knowledge and financial insights to resolve complex customer cases.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on system and product enhancements.

  • Track trends in customer feedback and provide insights to improve support processes.

  • Manage inboxes and tasks independently, meeting team KPIs and productivity benchmarks.

  • Support new product launches and participate in ad-hoc team projects.

  • Contribute to internal documentation such as meeting minutes and updated procedures.


Preferred Qualifications & Skills

  • 1–3 years of customer service experience in an omnichannel support environment (email, phone, chat).

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

  • Experience in financial services or fintech is a plus.

  • Proactive problem-solving skills and sound judgment.

  • High attention to detail with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.

  • Comfortable working independently in a remote, fast-paced environment.

  • Familiarity with Mac (iOS) and Google Workspace is advantageous.

  • Experience working with and meeting Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
